Traditional Japanese Udon Near Mount Fuji

I always loved discovering small local places while traveling through Japan, but this little family restaurant near Lake Fujikawaguchiko became one of my favorite experiences.

With a beautiful view of Mount Fuji, I stopped at a traditional restaurant called Kuranosuke, where I tried freshly made Japanese Udon noodles with curry. What I didn't expect was that the owners would invite me into the kitchen and show me the traditional way Udon noodles are made.
Yes… The dough is literally stepped on with feet to create the perfect texture and elasticity. It's a centuries-old method still used in some local restaurants across Japan.
The whole place felt incredibly authentic, peaceful, and welcoming. No tourist attraction, just homemade food, kind people, and the atmosphere of the Japanese countryside.

If you ever visit the Fujikawaguchiko area, I definitely recommend stopping by Kuranosuke. I'm adding the link below for anyone who would like to visit it, too.
