Metal Detecting in Bangladesh

I could not confirm a general national rule specifically governing ordinary hobby metal detecting in Bangladesh. What is clear is that Section 25 of the Antiquities Act requires a licence from the Director for excavation for archaeological purposes on any land. Owning the land does not remove that requirement. This provision does not establish whether every search for a modern lost object is allowed, so I would contact the Department of Archaeology and check local access conditions before searching.
